I am a highly skilled management professional with masses of head office experience in big and small retailers. Along the way I have also clocked up substantial spells as a consultant and as an associate of other consulting firms.
I work successfully in Small Businesses, Arts and Not-for-Profit organisations and have the Tools and Techniques to tackle all manner of issues and initiatives in the most appropriate way, whatever business sector I am working in.
I can help with formulating strategy (in other words "What ever do we do next?") and turn those initiatives into practical solutions, operational processes or other deliverables through project management, problem solving and communication skills.
What drives a lot of that is the ability to analyse and set out what the problem is and what the prize might be for the solution! And nine times out of ten, once you've grasped the issue, the solution walks out as well!
My added value is solid experience. I can get under the skin of a problem effectively because of familiarity with all sorts of general management issues, marketing, people management, IT projects and business operations.
My practice covers business development, planning and projects of all sorts and I have a specialism in retail marketing and effective space management.
In addition to my retail experience I've had a few years each as a factory production manager, as a retail buyer, and as board director of arts companies and not-for-profit organisations.
